BUDGET 2026/27: Ugandans Urged to Focus on Impact, Not Figures

By Derrick Werikhe

Kampala- As the government presents the 2026/27 national budget, Ugandans are being encouraged to look beyond the spending figures and ask how the allocations will improve their daily lives.
Citizens are being urged to question whether the budget will create jobs, improve healthcare services, enhance education standards, and address rising living costs. Other key concerns include whether funds allocated to infrastructure, agriculture, and youth empowerment will translate into tangible benefits for ordinary people.
As Parliament debates the budget, many believe the true measure of success will not be the amount spent, but the positive impact it has on the lives of Ugandans.
