Kampala- Veteran lawyer and politician Hon. Sam Mayanja has officially taken the oath of office as Uganda’s Attorney General for the 2026–2031 term. The swearing-in ceremony, held in Kampala, marked the beginning of his tenure as the government’s chief legal advisor.
Speaking after taking the oath, Mayanja pledged to uphold the Constitution, strengthen the rule of law, and provide sound legal guidance to support government programs and national development initiatives.
