Lucas Hernandez holds a perfect World Cup record for French national team and has now been included in the 26-man squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
The defender has never lost a World Cup match he has appeared in, recording seven wins and one draw across his tournament career.
Hernandez played every match during France’s 2018 World Cup-winning campaign in Russia, finishing unbeaten as Les Bleus lifted the trophy.
In 2022, he started the opening group game against Australia before an injury ruled him out for the remainder of the tournament.
Despite missing the rest of the competition, his personal World Cup record remained intact, as France went on to suffer their only defeat in the group stage and later lost the final on penalties to Argentina.
The 2026 edition will mark his return to the tournament stage as France aims for another deep run in North America.
