Kampala — Ugandan artist Coco Finger has sparked debate after claiming that success in the music industry is largely influenced by luck, media support, and hit songs rather than pure talent.Speaking in an interview with Galaxy TV, Coco Finger said many artists rise to fame through a single breakout hit, which can sustain their careers for years regardless of their vocal ability.
He, however, encouraged musicians to learn how to play instruments, saying it improves creativity and strengthens artistry, even though he acknowledged that many successful artists do not possess such skills.
Coco Finger concluded that while talent matters, luck and timing play a major role in determining who succeeds in the modern music industry.
