Can we pull the plug on the running?

By Muwanguzi Deborah

Columnist Muwanguzi Deborah questions Uganda’s growing habit of organising runs for nearly every cause. She says that while these events raise awareness and promote health, they are becoming too common and sometimes feel more like social events than meaningful campaigns. She argues that not everyone can run and calls for more inclusive ways to support causes, such as walks, community fairs, and donations. Her message is that people should be allowed to contribute in different ways without feeling pressured to join every race.
