Singer Yung Mulo has humorously opened up about the preparations for his upcoming traditional introduction ceremony with fiancée Brenda Kahima, revealing that bride price negotiations have become a source of laughter and excitement.
Speaking during a TikTok Live session with fellow artiste Alien Skin, the singer shared details of the couple’s private Kukyala ceremony held on June 6, where close family members and friends visited Brenda’s aunt as part of the customary marriage process.
Yung Mulo revealed that his future in-laws requested 40 cows as part of the bride price, but he jokingly responded that he could only afford three.Rather than negotiating the demands, the singer said he accepted them in good faith and promised to do his best to meet the family’s expectations.
He explained that making the relationship official is long overdue, noting that he and Brenda already have two children, aged six and four, who have patiently waited for their parents to formalize their union.
The artiste also clarified that the virtual meetings he has been holding with friends are not fundraisers for cows but efforts to organize a successful introduction ceremony scheduled for June 20.
In a light-hearted moment, Yung Mulo joked that he hopes his future in-laws do not watch clips from the interview, saying they might ask their daughter to postpone the ceremony.Despite the challenges, the singer remains optimistic, expressing confidence that with the support of friends and faith in God, the introduction ceremony will proceed as planned.
