Ugandan singer Eddy Kenzo has weighed in on the ongoing payment dispute between Bebe Cool and Gravity Omutujju, emphasizing the importance of formal agreements.
The disagreement stems from claims by Gravity, who alleges he is owed over Shs400 million for work done during the recent NRM campaign trail.Kenzo, who also played a coordinating role during the campaigns, stated that only signed contracts can justify payment claims.
He dismissed verbal promises as unreliable, stressing that professionalism should guide business dealings in the music industry.He further noted that artists under his coordination were paid after clear agreements were reached, adding that any additional rewards would depend on goodwill rather than obligation.
His remarks positioned the issue as a matter of business discipline rather than personal conflict.Meanwhile, the dispute between Bebe Cool and Gravity Omutujju continues to unfold, with Bebe Cool urging patience over delayed funds, while Gravity threatens legal action.
