Man Utd set for major kit change for the final of two Premier League matches before this season ends’

MANCHESTER UNITED will debut next season’s home kit in their final two games of this season. The Daily Mail reports that the Red Devils will use the final two games against Nottingham Forest and Brighton as a shop window for fans ahead of the new strip going on sale this summer.

The 2026-27 kit, manufactured by Adidas, has drawn inspiration from the design of the famous United kits in the 1970s, with writing on the back of a stripped collar.

It has become increasingly popular for sides in the Premier League to use the end of the season toshowcasetheir upcoming kits, though United did not do it last season.

Arsenal did it last term, debuting their upcoming kit against Newcastle United in 2025. Even around Europe, Bayern Munich battled Paris-Saint Germain in the Champions League semi-final second leg in a brand new kit.

Of course, they did not get the job done, drawing 1-1 on the night and losing 6-5 on aggregate. Officials at United believe giving fans a taste of what’s to come will help build anticipation for the release this summer. Their pre-season tour gets underway in July.

Manchester United did not comment on next season’s kit when approached by the Daily Mail. While next season’s kits can’t be found in club shops yet, it’s believe they are already thought to be available for purchase at Adidas stores, with Footy Headlines spotting one available this week.

It was only in 2023 that Man United signed a new ten-year extension with Adidas worth around £900million. Michael Carrick’s men secured more money for the club last Sunday with the 3-2 win over Liverpool.

That result strengthened their grip on third with a six-point advantage with just three games to play. As a result, their new kit will be gracing the Champions League next season. As for a sponsor, the report states that United are in advanced negotiations with betting company Betway to become the club’s new training kit sponsor.

The proposed deal, rumored to exceed £18million per year, would be a multi-year agreement. Premier League clubs will no longer be able to use betting companies on the front of their match shirts from next season, but other attire is permitted.
