Rapper Feffe Bussi has addressed questions surrounding his absence from singer Karole Kasita’s Power Within concert, explaining that prior commitments and travel challenges prevented him from attending the event.
Fans were left surprised when the rapper failed to appear at the concert held at Serena Hotel, especially considering his long history of collaborations with Karole Kasita and their once-close friendship.Over the years, the two artists built a strong musical partnership, producing several hit songs together and frequently performing on the same stage.
Their chemistry often sparked speculation among fans that their relationship extended beyond music.Speaking about his absence, Feffe Bussi revealed that he and Karole have had limited communication over the past year.In a humorous remark, the rapper joked that Karole’s partner may have contributed to the distance between them.
“I have spent like a year without speaking to her because her man is very tough, so I left them in peace,” he said with a laugh.Despite the joke, Feffe emphasised that there is no conflict between him and the singer.
He explained that he had already been booked for a performance in Kalangala on the same day as the concert.According to the rapper, transportation challenges, particularly ferry schedules, made it impossible for him to travel back to Kampala in time for the event.“I was far away from Kampala. I had a show in Kalangala, and even when I tried, I was limited by the ferry services and had to wait,” he explained.
His comments have reignited public interest in a friendship that many fans closely followed during the early years of their careers.Meanwhile, Karole Kasita said she was not bothered by Feffe Bussi’s absence and remained focused on ensuring the success of her concert.The singer explained that she has learned to accept situations beyond her control and was satisfied with how the event unfolded.
“It didn’t affect me in any way because one thing I learnt about this world is that you cannot control everything. I can only do what I’m supposed to do, and God does the rest,” she said.Karole added that while she had invited the rapper to perform, there was little she could do if circumstances prevented him from attending.
Although Feffe Bussi’s absence disappointed some fans who hoped for a surprise reunion on stage, both artists have indicated that there is no bad blood between them. Nevertheless, the situation has once again drawn attention to one of Uganda’s most talked-about musical friendships.
