Fredrick Mayiga emerged as a standout at the MultiChoice Talent Factory East Africa Academy graduation, earning the Academy Director’s Award for his outstanding performance during the nine-month training programme. The initiative, run by MultiChoice in partnership with Kenyatta University, equips filmmakers across East Africa with practical skills in film production.The programme aims to strengthen the region’s creative industry by preparing emerging talents for professional opportunities. Mayiga now joins a network of trained filmmakers expected to contribute to the growth of local content and compete on platforms like the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards.
