Fuel shortages have entered the fifth day in Uganda, leaving motorists and transporters struggling to find supplies as prices continue to rise. Several stations in Kampala have begun rationing fuel per customer, worsening the situation.Despite assurances from the Ministry of Energy and the Uganda National Oil Company that supply remains stable, many pumps report stockouts. Transport operators say fuel prices have increased by Shs200 to Shs500 in recent days. Leaders warn the crisis could soon affect fares and the cost of living if the situation persists.
