Wide salary differences among presidential advisors have sparked public concern, with figures ranging from Shs 2.3 million to as high as Shs 100 million per month. Reports indicate that former Makerere Vice Chancellor Dr. Ezra Suruma tops the list, followed by Dr. Betty Namukwaya earning Shs 90 million, while some senior political figures reportedly receive about Shs 20 million. The disparities have raised questions about fairness, transparency, and government spending priorities. However, Dr. Suruma has denied the reported figures, adding more controversy to the issue. Citizens are now calling for clearer accountability and justification of public sector salaries.
